The Virtual Life of a Network Weaver” is Not a Game

“Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real”

Pausing for a moment to reflect on “The Virtual Life of a Network Weaver” and the reality that it is Not a game! You are invited to explore the immersive, global world of “The Virtual Network Weaver” for Cherry Consulting Network (Social Media and 3D Virtual Worlds) and Cherry Network Centre. Since 2006, the virtual-based and real life task has been to acquire the knowledge, techniques and skills essential to understanding and integrating the fascinating technology of 3D immersive virtual worlds generated with OpenSimulator and Second Life.

As a Virtual Network Weaver, I have met and worked with numerous awesome colleagues within TechSoup Global‘s Nonprofit Commons in Second Life; Kitely; JokaydiaGRID; and Osgrid for their encouragement, collaborative support and friendships. Even though it has been nine years since my first virtual exploration, I am still excited about my vision for the seamless integration of real life and virtual life aka “Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real“. This vision is one of several elements that energizes me to keep pressing Forward in 2015 and beyond.

Over the years, several “Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real” projects have been created and managed by the real life and virtual-based consultant and network weaver, Sally S. Cherry, BS, MT(ASCP) dba Cherry Consulting Network. These immersive virtual projects were constructed with the in-world work of the 3D avatar “consultants” listed below.

The avatar “consultants” are essential members of the “Real to Virtual; Virtual to Real” team as well as effective network weavers.  The work of the virtual-based avatar “consultants” provides exciting learning, networking and collaborating opportunities as well as new ways of conducting business for the team’s real life consultant and network weaver. Believe me when I say… the work of the virtual-based avatar  is definitely Not a game. It offers local, national and global opportunities and connections for the business, nonprofit, educational, faith-based, medical, healthcare, entertainment, and nonprofit  communities as well as numerous other industries. Indeed “The Virtual Life of a Network Weaver” is Not a game but serious business!
